Tara is uniquely qualified and skilled to assist clients in the process of progressing from chaos, crisis and trauma to creating awareness, healing and a level of positive resolution in their lives. Tara has the keen ability to empathize and actively listen to clients. These qualities and skills help to provide a safe environment that assists clients in processing their emotions and feelings. Her approach is geared to helping clients move towards problem/trauma resolution and greater emotional health. The result is often a healthy sense of self and improved relationships.
Tara specializes in treating sexual addiction, partners/spouses of sex addicts, love addiction, chemical dependency and co-dependency issues. Additionally, she has extensive experience in treating clients with issues including; bipolar depression, depression, anxiety issues, personality disorders and PTSD/Trauma as part of a course of treatment for addictions and separately occurring issues.
Tara’s professional experience includes helping clients in the following settings; in-patient and outpatient individual and groups at a major teaching hospital, private chemical dependency treatment center, and in private practice. Additionally, she helps individuals, spouses and families transition from early sobriety to integrated recovery.
Tara meets with individual clients, couples, and families. Her practice also includes the development and operation of group therapy programs both as an adjunct to individual therapy and separately as a primary therapeutic modality.
